Support

Scholarships are available to students of ascomycetology for whom travel and registration costs represent an undue financial burden. Interested parties may apply by submitting a cover letter to korfforay@gmail.com containing the applicant’s name, age, pronouns, institutional affiliation (if any), area of taxonomic interest or expertise, background in mycology, and the goals they hope to achieve in attending the Korf Foray. Applications must be submitted no later than two months before the start of the Foray.

To cover the costs of the Foray with individual registration payments alone would result in an unaffordably high admission price for many participants, particularly students and young people. The more we can defray those costs, the better we ensure that the only criterion for attending the Korf Foray is a serious interest in ascomycetology, not the size of a bank account.

Your contribution—of any amount—will keep the Korf Foray affordable for everyone who wishes to attend. In return for any contribution over the $100 mark, your club/company/institution will be optionally featured as an official sponsor on the Korf Foray website and in all programming materials. You may also choose to remain uncredited/anonymous, if you wish.
